Indicator Purpose
The indicator is meant to track the number of toilets built or rehabilitated through TSA interventions.
Indicator Guidance
Definition of key concepts
Toilets: Possible acceptable solutions include:
a. Flush or pour-flush toilets to sewer systems, septic tanks or pit latrines,
b. Ventilated improved pit latrines
c. Pit latrines with a slab
d. Composting toilets
Instructions
What we measure:
Total number of toilets built and/or rehabilitated
Who to measure:
Data to be disaggregated by:
○ Location (i.e. school, community, household) (mandatory)
○ Rural-urban/disability/minority/ethnicity/socio-economic status (when relevant)
How to measure:
Simple counting of toilets built or rehabilitated.
To be reported on at least annually.
