Indicator Purpose

The purpose of the indicator is to measure the reach of training carried out on agricultural production, through TSA projects.

Indicator Guidance

Definition of key concepts        

  • Farmers trained: This refers to the men and women who received training during the period under review. It is the number of people trained in crop production practices and technologies.

  • Crop production practices and technologies: Training topics relevant for this indicator include: cultivation practices, use of improved seeds, fertilisers and other practices with potential for boosting productivity, enhancing produce quality, upgrading farming practices, etc

What we measure:

  • Total number of farmers trained in crop production practices and technologies, including animal husbandry.

Who we measure:

  • Data to be disaggregated by:

    a.       gender (mandatory)

    b.       disability/minority/socio-economic status/age/rural-urban/educational status (when relevant)

    c.        type of training(climate -smart agriculture/other methodology)

How we measure:

  • List of participants from trainings conducted.

  • To be reported on annually.
